FRESH (Folates and Iron for Resilient Adolescent Girls' Health) is an electronic health (e-health) development model designed to improve adherence to weekly Iron and Folic Acid (IFA) supplementation among adolescent girls as part of anemia prevention efforts. The model was developed through the doctoral dissertation research of Armein Sjuhary Rowi in the Doctoral Program in Public Health at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), Surakarta, Indonesia, under the supervision of Prof. Ari Natalia Probandari, dr., M.PH., Ph.D., as the Promotor (Principal Supervisor), and Dr. Ratih Puspita Febrinasari, dr., M.Sc., as the Co-Promotor (Co-Supervisor).
The development of FRESH was facilitated by Universitas Sebelas Maret and the Bogor City Government. It was developed using an evidence-based and human-centered scientific approach, with the aim of providing an innovative digital health solution to improve adherence to Iron and Folic Acid supplementation and support anemia prevention among adolescent girls in Indonesia.
